Aechmea Bromeliad MediumBasketsLight

The Aechmea Bromeliad is a specialBromeliad because they are uniquely tropical and rare looking. Our growers will hand-select a color that is healthy and lively for you!

This bromeliads name is derived from a Greek word for spear, and the name is quite fitting. The thin, spiky colorful flowers grow with deep cups and spiny edges. Aechmeas contain a large variety of foliage and patterns. Aechmea fasciata, with a flower head that is predominately pink, is one of the most popular bromeliads on the market. Kents also carries forms of spineless Aechmeas, in which the leaf edges do not feature sharp spines.

Bromeliad flowers can last 3 to 6 months, but they typically flower just once.
