Chicory Castelfranco Varigated Seeds

This winter salad leaf also known as chicory, is easy to grow with a good round, crunchy closed head and attractive mottled red and light green markings. Its looks fabulous in a mixed salad of leaves.

The radicchio and chicory are great in mixed salads, or blanch and pan fry if you don’t like the bitter flavour.

The chicory originated from the town of Castelfranco Veneto, in the province of Treviso.
