Maybe Thats Why We Dont

Bart OReillys Earlier Than Sometimes series begins with colornot as a fixed element, but as a shifting sensation. While rooted in a process-driven approach, the work evolves into an exploration of memory, mood, and the ephemeral nature of lived experience. Transparent pigments and washes of acrylic and water interact with raw canvas to create veils of light and atmosphere, allowing water, pigment, and gravity to guide the outcome.

These paintings evoke a sense of place that feels interchangeablelike fleeting thoughts or shifting clouds. Minimal in form yet layered in process, each piece captures a moment of quiet resolution, shaped by mood, time, and the delicate balance between control and surrender.
