A longtime fixture of Southern fare, this 1935 All-America Selections winner sports bright green, frilly-edged leaves with a distinct mustard flavor. Easy to grow and slow to bolt, productive Southern Giant lives up to its name with delicious leaves reaching 25 tall. 250 seeds minimum Germination: 7-14 days Maturity: 45-50 days Direct sow deep in full sun as soon as soil can be worked. Plant again in midsummer for a fall harvest. Space plants 4-6 apart; space rows 12-18 apart.
