The Philodendron plowmanii typically thrives in its natural habitat where it receives partially filtered sunlight through the forest canopy. To mimic these conditions in your home, it is recommended to provide bright to medium indirect lighting. For optimum growth, it is important to allow these tropical houseplants to dry out partially between waterings. It is recommended to maintain consistently moist conditions, but overwatering can harm the roots and lead to root rot. Utilize an aerated, well-draining soil mixture that retains some moisture.
