1. Planting: Before planting, water the area. Plant your Screen Play Holly in either full or partial shade, ensuring it receives at least four hours of direct sunlight each day. For the best coloration, full sun is recommended.
When planting, dig a hole that is twice the width of the pot. Position the plant 1-2 inches above the surrounding soil level and backfill the hole with soil. Water deeply to settle the plant, adding more soil if necessary. Finally, apply a 1-2 inch layer of mulch around the plant, making sure to keep the area closest to the stem clear.
2. Watering: TheScreen Play Holly has moderate watering needs. It thrives in moist, well-drained soil and should be watered consistently, especially during dry spells. However, it’s essential not to overwater, as too much moisture can cause root rot.
