Beautiful Spring Bulbs for Borders & Containers

Plant the Tulip & Allium Collection in generous groups through established borders for maximum impact. The double tulips provide a full and luxurious-looking spring display, while the taller Allium cristophii adds architectural structure as the season progresses.

The bulbs can also be incorporated into container displays, making this collection a versatile choice for patios, entrances and smaller gardens.

For a natural-looking planting scheme, position the alliums amongst perennials where their distinctive flower heads can rise above surrounding foliage.

Planting & Care

Plant the bulbs during autumn in fertile, well-drained soil, choosing a sunny position for the best flowering display.

As a general guide, bulbs should be planted at around two to three times their own depth with the pointed end facing upwards. Exact planting depth will vary according to bulb size.

After flowering, remove faded tulip flowers if desired but allow the foliage to die back naturally. Allium seed heads can be left in place after flowering to provide additional architectural interest.
